Fall 2009 - Other Owensboro-area Readings and Arts Events:

Play at OCTC:  The campus and the public are invited to performances of Dracula, on OCTC's main campus in Blandford Hall, Humanities Bldg.  Performances on October 29 and 30 will be held at 7:30 p.m.  The performance on Oct. 31 will be held at 2:30 p.m.  Tickets are $3 for students and $5 for the public.


Reading Group at OCTC:  For the fall semester the group will focus on some of the less often read plays by William Shakespeare.The first meeting will be organizational/introductory and then we will discuss the first play the following week. While some changes may be made at the first meeting, the tentative plan is to read the following nine plays in the order in which they were written:  Titus Andronicus, 1 Henry IV, 2 Henry IV, Merry Wives of Windsor, Measure for Measure , Timon of Athens, Pericles, Coriolanus, and Winter's Tale.  All are welcome to attend (you do not need to be enrolled at OCTC).

The group will meet on Tuesdays at 3:30 in Humanities 112, beginning August 25.


3rd Tuesday Coffeehouse at RiverPark Center – the public and all writers are invited!  The Coffehouse is held the 3rd Tuesday of every month of the academic year at 7 p.m.  Each Coffeehouse features special guest readers and an open-mike (if time allows).  See the Messenger-Inquirer announcements for details.
