Histology

Structure of the Heart

Exercise #38

Complete pages 297-304

REQUIREMENT: USE COLORED PENCIL FOR THE DRAWINGS—POINTS WILL BE TAKEN FOR DRAWINGS THAT DO NOT HAVE THE STRUCTURES LABELED.

This lab is to allow you to become familiar with the location and anatomy of the heart. Look at and label with sticky paper the full size models, and the sheep heart. Both will be on the practical. The lab is open for those of you who do not complete the assignment. There are photos of heart tissue in the histology cards.

This material will appear on your practical so you will want to view all of the slides and know the location of all of the structures of the heart. You may also want to write little descriptions of the structures so that you can identify them later. (The lab is open on Fridays for those of you who do not complete the assignment)
