Services Offered

• Personal career exploration and counseling

• Assessments that include: interest testing, personality preferences, job values (what you want your job to provide for you)

                      

• information on hundreds of careers and occupations, through EDiscover and several different ways to research jobs based upon what you are looking for. These job description will contain everything from job duties, training requirements, and job demand as well as salary information for any state in the US.

Transfer Services include:

• Information on colleges anywhere in the US via EDiscover and online resources. You can also search EDiscover to find out what colleges offer what majors and degrees anywhere in the country

• The College Blue Book series is also available in our Career & Transfer Center. Our library has purchased this series and has graciously offered to house it in our Career Center.  Students, faculty, and staff, can review this detailed information regarding what majors are offered at what colleges.

• Assistance with the transfer "process", completing paperwork, researching transfer scholarships, etc.

Job Placement assistance includes:             

• How to find job openings and how to research potential employers

• How to complete a resume, job application, cover letters, etc...

• How to successfully interview with a potential employer

• Videos on interviewing and how to conduct a successful job search

 Inside the Career Center we have computers for student use as well as many books and videos with information on careers and  conducting a successful job search.
