Fall 2009 Fee Payment Deadlines

August 21                    Last day to drop a course and receive 100% refund
August 31                    Last day for reinstatement of students who failed to pay registration fees

OCTC, a member of The Kentucky Community & Technical College System (KCTCS), makes every effort to include relevant, timely and accurate information in its publications. However, at times, due to system mandated changes, information may differ from what is printed in the schedule. Every attempt will be made to inform students in a timely manner. Please check the KCTCS catalog for out-of-state-contiguous county tuition rates.

 

Tuition is payable in full at the time of registration.

Additional Fee Information

A $25 charge will be assessed for each check returned due to insufficient funds.

A $20 charge per year will be collected from those students enrolled in programs that require Professional Liability insurance
.

A $75 charge will be assessed for reinstatement of classes for students who do not pay by the payment deadline.

Delinquent accounts are subject to referral to the Kentucky Department of Revenue, which will charge additional fees.

 

 

Donovan Scholarship

 

If you are 65 years of age or older, you may be eligible to receive the Donovan Scholarship.  This program only covers the cost of tuition.  To be eligible for this program, you must submit a copy of your driver’s license to the START Center by Last Day to Pay Tuition.

 

Employee Education Assistance Programs

 

If your employer offers an Employee Education Assistance Program, OCTC will coordinate billing information with your employer’s Human Resource Office.  To qualify for this assistance, you must submit a written guarantee of payment from your employer to the Fee Payment Office each semester before the payment deadline and payment must be made directly to Owensboro Community & Technical College by your employer.  If your employer would like more information regarding this type of program, please have them call 686-4510.

FACTS Tuition Payment Plan   -  2009 - 2010 FACTS Brochure *PDF Format                            
Students may choose to participate in the FACTS Tuition Payment Plan. This plan, managed by Nelnet Business Solutions, will allow students more flexible payment options. There will be a $25 per semester, non- refundable fee for all students who sign up for the plan. Students must register prior to signing up for FACTS.

How FACTS Works
Using FACTS is simple. Just complete and sign a FACTS tuition payment agreement at the Main Campus or go online at www.octc.kctcs.edu/sunrise (disable popup blocker). You may budget your tuition and fees one of two ways:

  • Automatic Bank Payment (ACH) - ACH payments are those payments you have authorized FACTS to process directly with your financial institution. It is simply a bank-to-bank transfer of funds that you have pre-approved for your expenses at OCTC. Payment may be made from either your checking or savings account. Payments are processed on the 20th of each month and will continue until the balance due the college is paid in full.

  • Credit Card Option - Many students and families have requested the option of charging their monthly tuition payment to Visa, MasterCard, or Discover. This enables you to take advantage of various bonus programs offered by your credit card company. Payment will be charged on the 20th of each month until the balance is paid in full.

Note: Should ACH or credit card payment be missed, a $25 missed payment fee will be automatically assessed to your account. You will be notified by FACTS of the missed payment via mail.

No FACTS payment plans will be accepted after the last day to pay. To apply for this payment plan, visit the Business Office at the Main Campus, Rm A103 or go to www.octc.kctcs.edu/sunrise.
